About Me
Syeda Amnah Batool is a Member of National Assembly of Pakistan on Reserved Seats for Women. Amnah stands at the forefront of transformative change as a committed Educationist both by passion and profession, dedicated Social Worker, insightful Policy Expert, and accomplished PhD Scholar. She is associated with Pakistan Muslim League – N since 2009. Her life’s work is deeply entwined with improving the lives of street children through education, a mission that positions her as a guiding light in both the realms of social welfare and academic research.
As a young mother of three, Amnah is driven by a deep commitment to education and a fervent desire to make a positive impact. Amnah has served as a Visiting Lecturer of Governance and Public Policy at National University of Modern Languages Islamabad & pursuing her PhD from National Defence University in the same discipline and currently doing her research on the Public Policy Implementations & Dimensions on Child Labour. This year, she has written and published two international papers on child labour and sustainable development in high impact factors journal. She has authored a paper on ‘Understanding child labour: the debate of children’s mental and physical health in Pakistan.’ Her contributions stand testament to her dedication to creating impactful policy frameworks that aim to eradicate child labor and ensure a brighter future for children of Pakistan.
Recognized for her contributions to education and social work, Amnah has received accolades from prestigious bodies, awarded as ‘Hamaray Heroes’ by PSL 2024 and recognized as a distinguished young educationist by the Governor of Punjab, Mr. Baligh ur Rehman. Further attesting to her influence, she has been nominated as an Ambassador of Education by the Sustainable Development Secretariat in Islamabad. Additionally, her commitment to educational advocacy has led to her nomination as a George W. Bush Points of Light Ambassador for Education, a testament to the international recognition of her impactful work. Her work has not only garnered national acclaim but has also been spotlighted by international media, further underscoring her significant influence as a voice for the voiceless. Amnah’s multifaceted career, marked by her roles as an educationist, social worker, policy analyst, and PhD scholar, reflects her holistic approach to tackling the challenges faced by the education system of Pakistan. Her dedication to fostering systemic change, powered by a blend of academic excellence and compassionate activism, continues to inspire, and effect meaningful progress in the lives of many.
