What does it aim to achieve?

PIL aims to empower youth by increasing their knowledge base and access to policymaking processes and equipping them with the necessary skills and resources to make their voices heard. It offers a centralized repository of information and courses along with interactive tools that include global dialogue forums and thought-provoking discussions, all designed to enlighten youth and develop skills for policy advocacy and negotiations for youth-led reforms.

How will it empower young People?

PIL is not just an educational platform but a catalyst for change, empowering youth by synthesizing a collaborative environment to foster public, private, and youth partnerships (PPYP) for the creation and implementation of innovative solutions tailored to the nation's unique socio-economic landscape.

By bringing together key stakeholders including think tanks, practitioners, policymakers, entrepreneurs, researchers, academicians, and the community, PIL leads the way in forming cross-sector partnerships and providing access to career opportunities in related policymaking and advocacy areas. These collaborations underpin our dedication to crafting highly effective and inclusive evidence-based policies.

Mentorship

PIL takes pride in maintaining a pool of dedicated experts from across the country exhibiting expertise in youth policymaking and innovation and demonstrating a keen interest in public policy and social innovation, a track record of leadership and community engagement, and the ability to think critically and work collaboratively.

Diversity in background, thoughts, and experience is crucial to foster a rich learning environment and innovative solutions. Moreover, mentors possess not only expertise in their field but also the commitment to invest in the personal and professional growth of youth. Studies suggest that programs with a higher proportion of mentors with a helping professional background, and those that require shorter, frequent meetings, tend to yield larger effect sizes in terms of positive outcomes for youth.
